Thanks to Claire Chase for hosting our MacMillan Coffee Morning last Friday and to everyone who joined us and raised money for MacMillan Cancer Support. Claire has counted up all the donations and we’ve raised £132 for the charity which is amazing, yeesss!

It’s National Kale Day on 2 October
Kale is a hearty way to add more protein, fibre and nutrients to any shake.
To celebrate and try out a new smoothie recipe, blend the following ingredients in a blender and enjoy –

Easy kale smoothie recipe:
· 1 to 2 handfuls of kale
· 1 cup of coconut water
· 1 banana
· couple of tablespoons of almond butter
· Half an apple
· Half a pear
· Pinch of vanilla powder
· Pinch of cinnamon
· Fresh ginger (to taste)
· 1 teaspoon of mesquite powder
· ½ – 1 tsp of matcha powder for a creamy and satisfying but also healthy and energizing Autumn morning treat.
Or if you’ve got a juicer, make some Kale Juice with cucumber, celery, lemon, ginger and apple for a delicious cruciferous cocktail. It’s a great way to inject your body with a large dose of kale quickly.
