Fitness Newsletter 23 June

It’s the last week of our COMPLEMENTARY FITNESS Classes so come to as many classes this week as you can – times and venues on the Classes Page of our website.
We’re then off for a 2 week break and return from Tue 15 July. See our summer class dates below too.

Sorry: Fitness Summer lunch cancelled– sorry to let you know but our fitness lunch to Café Andaluz this Friday 25 June has been cancelled due to a bereavement. We can have a think about possibly re-arranging it later in the summer.

Summer class dates for your diary:
Wed & Fri 9.30am and Tuesdays + Thurs 7.30pm from 15 July – 22 Aug.
Classes in Dreghorn Loan Hall are Wed & Fri 9.30am and Thursdays 7.30pm as well as Tuesday 7.30pm class in Craiglockhart Church*.

*I’ve still to hear from Craiglockhart Church when the painter will be painting the Large Hall as it may affect one Tuesday class in July or Aug. When I find out, I’ll let you know asap.

that the Edinburgh Festival Carnival is back for it’s 3rd year on Sunday 20 July. It’s a colourful, musical free event. The Festival Carnival is organized by Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. The fun starts with a workshop and carnival on 5 & 6 July and if you’re looking for something different to do or looking to volunteer, find out more at

I’m on holiday from Monday 30 June – down in Yorkshire for a week and watching some of the Tour de France cyclists in York and Harrogate. Then off for days here and there in our second week.

I’m looking forward to our 6 weeks of summer classes though starting the week of Tue 15 July and hope to see you at as many classes over the summer as possible.

Just to let you know that our fitness classes are also off the week beginning 25 August – we’re off to Barcelona for a week ….. yessss, so looking forward to it.
Then we start back the first week of September again but that’s week away yet.
