Did you know that…
In a recent study into group training, a doctor from Oxford University said “the results suggest that endorphin release is significantly greater in group training…” Results suggest that co-ordinated physical activity may be responsible. Other researchers suggest that physical activities such as laughter and music make people happier and is part of the bonding process. The study also showed that the production of endorphins (happy hormones) are increased when we do activities in groups. That’s all great news especially as our classes are community-based, we all exercise and workout to the best of our ability and as you’re all such lovely people, we all get on, meet up, have a chat and socialize – I love it. From my point of view, I love teaching all my classes, getting to know you all, working (out) with you and helping you to improve and get fit. I love the social aspects of our classes and the laughs we have in our classes too. What do you think?…….. get back to me and let me know your thoughts, thanks.
Something to think about:
What triumphs and victories have you achieved this year so far?
Have you recently joined our classes and seen huge changes in your fitness and outlook? Have you signed up for a challenge later this year?
Have you changed your diet and decided to incorporate more organic, fresh produce into your daily life?
Let me know what you’ve achieved so far and what your new and upcoming goals are, thanks.
Remember that when we’re making changes, take it one step at a time. Don’t rush in and think that everything happens overnight. Change takes time but it’s a journey. A journey to a better, happier, healthier and more positive lifestyle.
Now that we’re into March and Spring is on the way, try to get outside more, get some fresh air. Breathe, go for lovely walks up the Pentlands, along the Dell. I love seeing all the bulbs coming up, the crocuses etc – just makes you feel more positive and much better.
Nicola (my daughter) will be covering my class this Friday 6 March at 9.30am. It’ll be a stretch, tone and sculpt class so please come and support her, thanks.
Let me know how you get on at Nicola’s class on Friday and I’ll let you know how the wedding goes when I see you the following week.
I look forward to seeing you in our Tuesday and Thursday 7.30pm Fitness Pilates classes and in our Wednesday 9.30am Body Toning class on Wednesday this week.
There are also spaces in Nicola’s Insanity class on Thursday 6.30pm in Dreghorn Loan Hall. Nicola demonstrates modifications/easier options which a lot of us take. Bring your mat and water, wear trainers and improve your fitness, strength and endurance – only £4 per class.
