Did you know that…
A week on Thursday: 8 May is the Election, so instead of Dreghorn Loan Hall, we’ll be in The Dell Room again which is part of Colinton Parish Church.
Like last time, there’ll only be one class that night at 7.30pm and I’ll combine our 2 usual classes into one and it’ll be a Fitness Pilates/Fitness Yoga combo class (PiYo class) with a warm up, stretches, Pilates and fitness exercises and yoga stretching.
I know that the Dell Room is lovely and it’s not as big as Dreghorn Loan Hall but nevertheless, I hope that you’ll join us and work out with us in that one class overlooking the Dell. Please put the date and change of venue in your diary/phone etc. I’ll remind you next week.

As you know, whenever a date’s been decided for voting/an Election, Dreghorn Loan church hall is used and we have to make alternative arrangements. Normally the Dell Room is the place where the choir rehearse and it’s also used for another group on certain Thursday evenings too but these groups have always accommodated us by moving elsewhere so that we can use the Dell Room.

I’ve emailed and mentioned a couple of times about the possibility of combining our Thursday Fitness Pilates and Fitness Yoga classes together because of consistently low numbers in these classes.
I’ve finally decided to go ahead with the one class (which again, will be a combination of Fitness Pilates exercises AND Fitness Yoga stretches).
This will take effect on/from Thursday 15 June onwards and our class will be at 7pm (ie 7pm-8pm) in Dreghorn Loan Hall. I really hope that those who normally come to our 6.35pm class will come 25 mins later and that those who come to the 7.30pm class, can come ½ an hour earlier.

As you know, both classes have been really quiet for ages now and running both classes with roughly 5 people in each, really isn’t worth it financially for me even though I love teaching both classes and love working out with YOU.

When I first started to teach Fitness Pilates (FP) classes way back (on a Thursday evening soooo long ago), it was at 7pm so thought this would be a good compromise. Way back, the 7pm class was so popular, that I decided to add a 2nd FP class which was initially at 8.15pm then moved to 8pm.
Then after a while, the later Fitness Pilates class was the quieter, less well attended one and I then decided to move to teaching back to back classes and changed the format to a Fitness Yoga class and a Fitness Pilates class which is where we’ve been at for a while now.

So, just to clarify: this Thursday 1 June will still be 2 classes ie 6.35pm Fitness Yoga and also 7.30pm Fitness Pilates. PLEASE COME.
Thurs 8 June (day of the Election), one class at 7.30pm in the Dell Room.
Thursdays 15 and 22 June one combined class at 7pm in Dreghorn Loan Hall.

I hope this is all clear, that you can see where I’m coming from re low numbers and that you’ll continue to support our classes and your continued fitness.

Oh and to add to date changes!! Oops sorry but this is an end-of-term, later date –
I’d previously said that our classes will finish up on Fri 23 June but I’ve looked at my Contract for our Tuesday Fitness Pilates class and it actually finishes up on Tue 27 June. I’m happy to finish up on that evening and hope that if you come to our Tuesday 7.30pm class, that you’ll still come and join us, and work out that evening.
So again to clarify: pre-summer classes finish on Tue 23 June.

By the way, nothing else is changing! Phew!
The main thing was the Thursday evening class info to let you know about.

Fitness Summer Lunch:
I’ve gone ahead and booked Café Andaluz, George Street for our Summer Fitness Lunch on Monday 19 June at 12.30pm and booked it for 12 people (even though just a couple of you have said you can make it, I hope more of you will join us – the more the merrier).  Please let me know if you’d like to join us then once I get names/numbers, I’ll confirm numbers with Café Andaluz, thanks.

Interesting:
Colinton Parish Church are having a Raise The Roof Fundraising Concert on Sat 10 June at 7.30pm in aid of the Church Rooms/Swing Café Roof. Tickets are available from the Church Office.
