Did you know that…
I’ve added another new Complementary Fitness Youtube mini Fitness Pilates or Fitness Yoga warm up video on my Youtube account at We get to warm up and work the legs by bending our knee, warming up and working the shoulder joints by semi-circling the arm/s then reaching across and rotating the upper body then finally extending and reaching one arm to the side while abducting the other leg ie extending the opposite leg out to the side. We put this mini warm up sequence together and although I did this a few times and didn’t do the same on the ‘other side’, you’d need to do this with the opposite leg and arm etc. Have fun. (oh, btw, video filmed before my new hair cut!!!).

29 Feb – 6 March is National Salt Awareness Week. We’re told that eating too much salt is bad for our health is so many ways. If you cut down to the recommended intake of 6g (a teaspoonful) or less a day, it might help to reduce blood pressure and risk of heart problems, strokes and other diseases. Find out more at

29 Feb – 13 March is Fairtrade Fortnight. I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago so it’s just a reminder to think about buying Fairtrade coffee, tea, bananas, chocolate, wine etc instead. Fairer trading is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. Look out for the Fairtrade mark on products. You can find out more at or if on Twitter, use the hashtag #fairtradefortnight
You might want to organise or take part in ‘Sit down for breakfast, stand up for farmers’ which supports fairtrade farmers, workers while you have a fairtrade breakfast with family or friends. You’ll have your go-to breakfast ideas but there are 3 pages of various healthy, nutritious delicious recipes here that you might want to try at

did you also know eating breakfast in the morning, especially if it contains protein, will keep you feeling fuller for longer?
