Firstly – Thank You
To all the ‘new people’ (and ‘returning people’) who joined our classes last week – it’s great to welcome you and have you in our classes. I love when new people come to our classes so thanks for choosing to work out with us.
Thank You also to ‘our regulars’ who show up week after week and who work out with us to improve their strength, tone and flexibility. You’re amazing.
The classes wouldn’t be the same without you.
Fitness, Exercise and Health stuff
Get back on track ….
Exercise is important to boost metabolism and release mood-lifting endorphins. I know that it’s a thought sometimes to exercise on cold, dark, winter mornings or evenings – even in the Loan Hall/Craiglockhart Hall but … if you do, you’ll definitely feel all the better for it. I love the fun, friendly community feel of our classes, it’s great to chat and catch up with everyone.
Something to think about
Anything less than a loving thought is toxic to mind, body and spirit – Peter Ragnar
Never give up on a dream just because of the time it’ll take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway – Earl Nightingale
Sleep well – getting enough sleep is key to good health and healing. When you’re at rest, your body is doing it’s regeneration and repair work so make sure that you’re getting at least 8 hours sleep a night.
Super greens banana and date smoothie recipe:
200-250ml almond milk, 1 banana, 2 fresh dates, 1 cup fresh (organic) spinach leaves, 1 serving vanilla plant-based protein powder and a serving of supergreens powder (I use Sun Warrior protein from www.aggressivehealthshop.com or buy it from Real Foods/Hanover St Health Store). Have a look at the various ‘supergreens’ products eg Greens For Life or Greener Grasses and others also from Aggressive Health for the nutrient benefits http://www.aggressivehealthshop.com/super-nutrients/g-l/greens-powder.html
Blend this smoothie mix – it’s immune fighting and energy boosting and is bursting with phytonutrients, enzymes, amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
Choose natural, organic vegetables to help eliminate chemicals such as GMO’s, pesticides, preservatives, stabilisers, artificial colours and flavourings from your diet and body.

I will also have a money box for cash donations too. Are you red-dy?
