Something to think about
Yoga can be a natural energy booster. It unblocks energy along the spine, bringing life force back into your body through breath and movement. Certain poses can also help counter the effects of long periods of sitting. As we sit throughout the day, the energy in the spine gets stuck and stagnant. So when we elongate the spine, it energizes the nervous system.

Get outside: particularly if you work in an office, getting outside can wake up your brain. I always think you notice things more if you’re outside or walking, more so than if you’re in the car. You’ll be moving your body, getting a good dose of fresh air, possibly some sunshine and outdoor noises too. The change of scenery and fresh air helps you feel better too.

Juicing: Juicing allows us to take in a large serving of vegetables at one time and can be the key to giving you a radiant, energetic life and optimal health. Some people may find eating lots of vegetables difficult, but it can be easily accomplished with a quick glass of vegetable juice.
Juicing is an easy way to absorb all the nutrients from vegetables and some fruits. Juices go straight to your blood stream which carries all the nutrients to where they are needed. Juicing can help you add a wider variety of vegetables in your diet. Many people often eat the same vegetables but with juicing, you can juice a wide variety of veg that you may not normally enjoy eating whole.

Juicing is also an incredibly effective way to cleanse the body, especially green juices! Green juices contain high levels of chlorophyll, a powerful phytonutrient which attaches to toxins and heavy metals and helps remove them from your body. It also increases your blood’s oxygen-carrying capacity by stimulating red blood cell production.

Some favourite and simple Green juice recipes include the following but you can experiment:
Celery, lemon, apple or pear, cucumber, kale, parsley, fennel
Remember keep the focus on getting as much greens as possible. Having sweeter fruit juices is ok but just not in excessive amounts. (article adapted from

Recipe Crazy Sexy Goddess Smoothie Serves 2
Ingredients: 1 avocado, 1 banana, 1 cup blueberries, 1 cucumber, a fistful of kale or romaine or spinach,
Coconut water (or purified water)
Stevia, to taste, and/or a sprinkle of cinnamon or some cacao (optional)
*If desired, use coconut meat, raw almond butter, or nut milk in place of avocado.
You can also add superfoods like cacao (to taste) and/or 1 to 2 tablespoons of E3Live.
