I’d like to say a very big THANK YOU VERY MUCH for another successful fitness year. 

Thank you so much for working out with me/us in our Complementary Fitness classes.  It’s also been lovely to meet and welcome so many ‘new people’ this year and I really appreciate you if you’ve been working out with us for a while or for years – thanks for your loyalty and support.

It was lovely to catch up with you last Wednesday for coffee/tea and scones etc after our class so thanks for coming along and joining us to celebrate our end of term festive celebrations.

I’ve also loved our evening candlelight classes for the past couple of weeks and hope that you have too.  We had some really lovely comments like: ‘we should do this more often’, ‘It makes such a difference to relax and stretch with candles’ and ‘I loved the candlelight classes and felt much more relaxed at the end’.

I was reading through ways to lessen anxiety (at this time of year, we can feel over-whelmed and exhausted and anxiety can be really high with so much to do/get organised etc etc) and I thought I’d share some tips with you:

  • Reduce caffeine intake
  • Reduce sugar intake
  • Exercise 3-5 days a week
  • Use a diffuser with some lovely relaxing aromatherapy oils
  • Deep breathing exercises
  • Go for a walk/run or do some stretching/yoga/Pilates
  • Think happy thoughts
  • Remove yourself from uncomfortable situations
  • Stop over-analysing

I won’t send out a fitness newsletter next week ie on Christmas Eve/Christmas week but will probably send one out 31 Dec to round off the year and remind you of new year classes etc.

I look forward to seeing you and working out with you when we return in the new year for more fitness and fun, new music mixes and fitness ideas.  I’m sure I’ll get new ideas this week while exercising in the sun and in some different classes. 

I’ll be trying out trampoline fitness and paddle board classes but may/may not add these into our exercise routines… but then again…. who knows?

With 3 weeks ‘off’, will you be the same as me and need to work off all those mince pies, extra treats, Christmas chocolate, wine and the odd G+T?       Let’s enjoy it all but ‘get to it’ again from 8 January onwards.
