then our new Autumn term of classes officially begins on Tuesday 30 August. If you can, please sign up for the Tuesday and/or Thursday 7.30pm Fitness Pilates blocks – they’re only £29 for each 6 week block. You can of course, pay as you go for each class at £5 each.
If you want to work out in the 2 Thursday classes (Fitness Yoga at 6.35pm and Fitness Pilates at 7.30pm, you only pay £8 for both). ALL classes in a month is £45 and there are 22 classes in Sept to work out in!

I’m down in London at the moment but will be back for our 2 classes this week. We went on Friday afternoon (after Fitness Yoga at 9.30am) and are visiting Steven and doing more touristy things. We’ll be hiring Boris bikes and cycling round Hyde Park etc and taking the boat on the Thames and going to Greenwich Market too.
We will definitely be going to Wild Food Café again (we LOVE it there), it’s in Covent Garden, an area that we also love.
If you’d like to join me in eating their lovely meals, you can go on their website and have a look through their healthy recipes. It’s at

Something to think about:
I love and subscribe to FMTV and there’s an article on their website about 5 reasons to include healthy fats into your diet and there’s also a recipe for a walnut avocado lime pie smoothie – what’s not to love?
Click on the link (or copy and paste the link to your browser)
If you don’t want to click on or read the article though, the 5 reasons are:
· improved cardiovascular risk factors,
· stronger bones,
· healthy lungs,
· healthy brain and
· proper nerve signalling.
The smoothie ingredients to blend are: ½ a ripe avocado, ½ small banana, ¾ cup cold water, 1/3 cup walnuts (if you can, soak them for a few hours in advance then rinse and drain), 1/3 cup coconut milk, 2T honey and the juice of
1 lime. Enjoy.

I’ve bought a couple of books by Dr Mark Hyman (not read them yet) and thought I’d share his blog about 5 superfoods that belong in your diet if you’re interested (copy + paste to browser)

Less waste: instead throwing your eggshells in your food bin, crush them up and sprinkle them directly on your garden beds. They’ll add a healthy dose of calcium to your soil that your plants will thank you for. Who knew?

Quotes that I like:
“The best diet plan is simple: focus on eating fruit from the trees, veggies from the Earth, water in it’s purest form and plenty of outdoor air and exercise” – Dr Josh Axe
Plank rotation outdoors

“The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer” – Gandhi

“The bad news: nothing lasts forever. The good news: nothing lasts forever”.

What are your plans for this last full week of the Fringe? What shows are you going to? Have fun.
Oh and the Festival Fireworks Concert is on next Monday 29 Aug and if you’ve got tickets or can see it from somewhere other than in the Gardens, enjoy that too.
