Did you know that
It’s week 1 of Easter school holidays but just to let you know that ALL our CLASSES are ON during the holidays. In fact, our classes are going right up till the end of June so I hope that you’ll continue to work out in our Fitness Pilates, Fitness Yoga and kettlebell or resistance toning classes to get/keep fit throughout the Spring and into the Summer.

We had some lovely, generous, kind comments and reviews about our classes again last week so I’d just like to thank everyone for those, for your continued support and a welcome to all, including ‘new people’ – thank you.

Chia and hemp seeds, avocado, nuts, ancient grains, kale, coconut and green tea are among the top superfoods of 2017 – phew luckily I love all of them.

According to Mind, 50% of people with anxiety say that exercise helps to relieve symptoms.

Something to think about:
Well, a reminder really that the ‘old’ non-polymer £5 note is being taken out of circulation on 5 May so use, spend or transfer your old fivers by then. I’ll soon just be accepting the new plastic fivers too. The new £1 coins are in circulation now too but I haven’t seen any yet. Fyi: the current ‘old’ round £1 coins go out of circulation mid October too.

A lot of people are choosing to ‘eat clean’ now and being mindful of what they eat ie looking at what you buy and consume, eating less processed foods, more whole foods incl vegetables, fruits, ancient grains, green tea, nuts and seeds. It’s all good.

You know how I love to eat avocados either in salads, as a topping, making guacamole or using avocado as a base to make a cacao choc avocado mousse? Well, did you know that avocados have an impressive essential fat content and contain high levels of vitamin E? Vit Eis an antioxidant, is great for skin health and helps to fight off damaging free radicals.

As you’ll know, there’s voting on Thursday 4 May and as always, Dreghorn Loan church hall is used for voting so on that night, we’ll be down in the Dell Room which is part of Colinton Parish Church, Dell Road. I’ll remind you nearer the time though but please take a note about the change of venue on that evening.

A few weeks ago, I said that our Thursday 6.35pm Fitness Yoga class numbers were really low. Well, a couple of weeks ago, the numbers increased and it was all fine but last week, there were 4 in the class. Don’t get me wrong: I do really appreciate those who do come on a Thursday however and love teaching the class but if numbers don’t improve again on a regular basis, we may have to ditch that class! Aw shame. I’d really miss it so please let me know your thoughts on:
• can you come to the 6.35pm class regularly?
• would you be able to come to Fitness Yoga on a Friday 9.30am instead?
• would you come to Fitness Pilates at 7.30pm instead?

I was thinking of combining the 2 classes and thought of 7-8pm. Of those who got back to me, some Thursday Yoga people said that they could come at 7pm instead of 6.35pm but no later.
However, I feel that those who come to 7.30pm Fitness Pilates may not want to come or not be able to come ½ an hour earlier but then again, I’d like to find out from everyone in the 7.30pm class to see if that’s a possibility – PLEASE let me know in class/by email, thanks.

Don’t panic, no definite decisions as yet but I hope that you can see that really low numbers in a class (ie 3, 4 or 5) isn’t viable.
Maybe Thursday is just ‘one of those nights’ – end of the week, a rush, school events?
