Did you know that…
There are NO classes this week, we’re having a week’s break to re-charge and refresh ready for next week’s classes.
Our Autumn classes start back from Tuesday 1 Sept right up to mid December. It would be great if you book your place in the Tuesday &/or Thursday 7.30pm Fitness Pilates classes and if you can make each week, pay for the block/s to ensure your place and aim to achieve your fitness goals.
You can also pay as you go as we do in our morning classes.

Our brand new 6.35pm CORE COMBAT class starts next Thursday (woo hoo, excited) on Thursday 3 September in Dreghorn Loan Hall. We’ll be working from and strengthening our core in this workout.
You’ll learn how to jab, do upper cuts, hooks as we shift our weight side-side or forward + back.
We’ll shuffle to the side then add in more punches ie those jabs etc.
We’ll learn about the forward and back kicks too. In the first few classes, we’ll learn about technique, how to punch and protect our face and always work from our core to stay strong. I’m soooo excited and looking forward to it. Music always helps too and you can work off any stress and frustration, enjoy learning new moves, keep yourself fit and strong. This 45 min workout also includes an abs section at the end of the combat section.
The class will be £5 pay-as-you-go.
Special offer: If you’d like to stay for our 7.30pm Fitness Pilates class too (you can pre-book your place for both), you’ll get both classes for £8! Bargain.
Another benefit is that you’ll see big changes in your fitness, strength, core, balance and flexibility.
Please let me know if you’d like a space in either or both classes and I’ll add you to the class lists, thanks.

Henderson’s recently opened a Vegan café restaurant in 25 Thistle Streeet (it used to be the Bistro).
Everything’s totally vegan with wheat/gluten free options too. I haven’t tried it yet but have been going to Henderson’s on Hanover St for years (40 I think now and again). If you go and try it out, let me know what you think.

Something to think about:
Going for a walk or a cycle in the fresh air can really boost your mood, help you de-stress and reduce stress.
You get to boost your Vitamin D levels in the sunshine too.

When we don’t get enough nutrients in our diet, the risk of getting an infection increases. It’s because the body’s immune system becomes less effective when it lacks certain vitamins and minerals. Eat a variety of foods including lots of veg (organic if possible), make smoothies and green drinks. You might think about taking a good multivitamin and mineral supplement to help improve your nutritional status and immune function for a while. There are lots of recipes and info if you search the web and have a look through magazines, pinterest and also has videos about everything including how to …. XYZ and there are lots of lectures too. So much abundant info and I’m sure that you’ve got lots of healthy recipe and nutrition books too or can get access to them. Get creative.

As there are no classes this week, have a look at my youtube channel and do some exercises so that when we start back next week, your muscles won’t be as sore. Stay on track. I’ll certainly be doing lots of walking this week in the lovely sunshine and hope that it’ll be sunny and warm for you too.

Let me know what Fringe shows you’ve been to, any that you’d recommend – and I can pass on your recommendation. Have fun.
