Hi, welcome to Complementatry Fitness Pilates, PiYo, Fitness Yoga & resistance/weights classes in Craiglockhart & Colinton, Edinburgh.

Details of our all-level effective COMPLEMENTARY FITNESS Pilates / Yoga + toning classes for men & women are on the Classes page of my website – have a look and join us this week.

Interesting/Did you know that…
After the last 2 Thursday classes in Craiglockhart then the Dell Room last week, we’re back in Dreghorn Loan Hall again this week – woo hoo. The ‘new floor’ is lovely, clean and bright and makes the hall look larger.

I hope that you’ll continue to work out and exercise with us even though it’s summer, that people are away at different times and I think it’s the last week of the school holidays.

We had some great comments about our classes again with some new people returning for their second week with us which is fantastic. Thank you all for choosing to work out with us.

The Fringe and Tattoo started at the weekend, the town is heaving with visitors (I always feel sorry for them when we get some awful weather ie all that rain we’ve recently had!!) and haven’t managed to book any shows in the Fringe yet. Have you got any recommendations? I’m hoping to go to 1 or 2 shows on Sunday and like dancing, music, drumming and acrobatic shows. I haven’t even picked up a guide yet but know that I can look online at and also go to the half price tent too. I love the vibrancy of Edinburgh at this time – how about you?

Interesting and quotes:
‘everything that you eat affects the way that you think, the way you feel and literally affects the receipt that you get – your body is the receipt for all the food that you’ve invested in and when people see you, they see your receipt’. Wow!

‘choose to eat foods that maximise your health’

Believe that it is possible and never give up.

Get fit for life, not just for summer.

70% if people who start a fitness plan, give up and quit – don’t let that be you.

“If exercise were a pill, it would be one of the most cost-effective drugs ever invented” and “to reduce our risk of ill health from inactivity, we are advised to exercise regularly – at least 150 minutes a week– and reduce sitting time. Studies have linked excessive sitting with being overweight and obese, type 2 diabetes some types of cancer and early death.

Sitting for long periods is thought to slow the metabolism, which affects the body’s ability to regulate blood sugar, blood pressure and break down body fat” and “Research shows that physical activity can also boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality and energy, as well as reducing your risk of stress, depression, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease” – all quotes from NHS’ website.

While scrolling through feeds on FB, I came across and there are some really interesting articles and ideas on there about health, recipes, beauty, natural remedies and more.

Click on the Review Tab and add a comment about our classes, thanks.
