Did you know that…
we can’t use Dreghorn Loan Hall on Thursday 7 May because of the Election but I’ve organised and booked The Dell Room, Colinton Parish Church Rooms, Dell Road (EH13 0JR) instead for our 7.30pm class that night and I hope that you’ll come and join us. The Dell Room is lovely, with big windows overlooking the Dell so it’s nice and peaceful. There are around 3 car parking spaces but you might find it easier to walk down or park in Westgarth Avenue or Thorburn Road and walk from there. You can walk down the steps beside Colinton Inn or walk down to the Royal Bank of Scotland, down Spylaw Street, over the bridge and you’ll come to the church. We’re in there, on the ground level. Please bring your yoga mat and water as usual.

Today is day 27 of my 30 day Lemon Water Challenge which I’m going to continue long after day 30. I found out about the challenge on Real Foods Facebook page and thought I’d pass on some of the claimed benefits of drinking fresh lemon water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach: aids digestion, cleanses your system, boosts your immune system, balanced pH levels, clears skin, freshens breath, hydrates your lymph system and aids in weight loss etc. It’s not too late to start your own lemon water challenge so join me, get some organic (if possible) but certainly unwaxed lemons and squeeze ¼ – ½ lemon juice into warm water and drink first thing in the every morning. Let me know how you get on.

Now that summer is on it’s way and we’ve had some lovely weather so far, let’s get back to our classes, to improving our fitness, strength and flexibility. Our classes continue till Fri 26 June so plenty of classes to get us back on track, toning up for summer, our holidays and looking and feeling not only good, but great. Our 6 weeks of summer classes are from Tue 14 July – Fri 21 August – put the dates in your diary.

Thursday 6.30pm HIIT (high intensity interval training – Insanity class) in Dreghorn Loan Hall, class £4.
