Welcome to this week’s newsletter & updates:

There are NO Complementary Fitness classes on this week ie not on 7, 8, 9 & 10 May.

But our classes resume next week again on Tue 14 May onwards, yesssss.

Oh did it take you a long time to read the article in last week’s newsletter?

Maybe some of it wasn’t too relevant but all very interesting nonetheless.


I hope you’re getting out for a walk, playing sports, doing some exercise homework – maybe keeping up your squat and lunge or stretch routine each day!

I’ll be asking questions when I see you in class again next week, ha.

Here’s a recipe for a delicious healthy smoothie that I’ve made a couple of times.  Just blend all the ingredients together

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I like Body Me or Panterre protein powder blends)
  • 1-inch diameter fresh ginger root or ½ teaspoon of ground ginger powder)
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder (optional & good for hormone balance)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (good for balancing blood sugar levels)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons goji berries, divided (some as a garnish)
  • ½ cup frozen cauliflower rice (you can buy frozen but when I buy a cauliflower, I cut off a few florets and blend in a processor to make cauliflower rice then freeze in ½ cup portions for this recipe).
  • 1¼ teaspoons ground turmeric powder
  • 1 cup almond/other non-dairy or dairy milk, unsweetened


  • 1 teaspoon bee pollen
  • 1 teaspoon goji berries
