Welcome to this week’s newsletter & updates:

Thanks for all your lovely class comments.  I thought I’d share a couple of them with you and thanks for allowing me to share them.  If YOU have a comment, please let me know and, with your permission, I’ll share with others.  Here they are:

“Great class last night (Tue fitness Pilates class).  Thank you for helping to sort my left hamstring strain with your exercises.  It had been sore for a couple of days but when I got up this morning (Wed 24/8), it felt so much better.  See you next week”.

Great to know that the stretches really helped, thanks for letting me know EC.

“That was a fantastic class tonight (Thurs 1 Sept).  I thoroughly enjoyed all the new stuff and it was so tough.  You mixed it up with lots of new moves which made the hour go even faster than usual, and that’s hard.  Can’t wait for next week.  Thank you so much”  MW

It’s that time of the year again ie Organic September which is a month-long campaign aimed at raising awareness of organic products and the brands, producers and farmers who supply them to us.

Why buy organic?  When you buy organic, you can be sure that the products that you buy:

  • Contain no artificial additives or preservatives
  • Contain fewer pesticides. There are only 20 pesticides that can be used by organic farmers all of which are derived from natural ingredients.  This is compared to almost 300 pesticides used in regular farming.
  • Conform to high standards of animal welfare
  • Contain no genetically modified ingredients
  • Have been produced in a way that is sustainable.

We buy as many organic food and other products as we can and as you’ll know, I love because of their organic excellent quality matcha green teas.

During Organic September, are offering 20% off their organic matcha teas if you add the code organic20 at the checkout.

OMGTea: Premium Japanese Organic Matcha Green Tea – OMGTeas

I’ve tried many other brands of organic matcha tea and, in my opinion, none match up to the quality of omgteas.  If you want to find out about the benefits, here’s a link to click on

(ps I’m not ‘on commission’, I’m just passing on my thoughts and a discount code of you’re thinking of trying it out).

Oh and did you know that …. Matcha is rich in amino acids (the building blocks of protein) compared to other teas.  It’s high in the amino acid L-theanine which can support a calm and meditative state that’s great for deep focus.  The effect of drinking matcha green tea can be described as ‘relaxed alertness’ because the caffeine helps the mind focus and stay alert while L-theanine helps it relax.

September is also World Alzheimer’s month aiming to raise awareness and challenge stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s and dementia.  It’s also international Sourdough September too.

A great quote and great advice: “eat healthily, sleep well, breathe deeply, move harmoniously” Jean-Pierre Barrall

Last week’s newsletter was quite lengthy so I thought I’d made this one a wee bit shorter but still hope you enjoy reading it.
