It’s week 2 of the Autumn school holidays and some of you have said you won’t be at some of our classes this week – particularly the evening ones but I also hope that if you can, you’ll come and join us.


Evening classes: I know it’s dark and cold but an hour’s exercise where we move, bend, reach, flex, extend and stretch ourselves has a big impact on our physical and mental health so please come and join us and let’s be active and also work out and release any stress (mental and physical).

A lot of you say that working out and stretching in the evening helps you to sleep – a big win:win bonus.


Morning classes particularly this Wednesday’s Halloween workout – please bring a medium or largish pumpkin to class and we can use that as a weight.

Halloween dress-up optional too.

Oh and what are you going to do with your pumpkin after you’ve used it as a weight on Wednesday?

Are you…..

  1. Going to carve it as per tradition and put a tea light in it?
  2. Scoop out the flesh and put a vase of autumn flowers & leaves in the centre?
  3. Intending to make a delicious spicy pumpkin soup with the flesh?
  4. Going to cook the pumpkin flesh and use it in a bread or cookie recipe? If so, there are loads of recipes ‘out there’ eg search ‘pumpkin recipes’ on Pinterest or search elsewhere online.

What ever you do or make, let me know and … send photos and maybe share a recipe with us.

Remember that you don’t need to book any class in advance however, if you do want to get in touch and let me know that you’re going to come and join us, that’d be great.


I’m finding that the morning classes are much busier than the evening classes – probably coz as I said: it’s dark, cold in the evenings and after a long day, all we want to do is get cozy, have dinner and relax.  But again, I know you’ll feel better and be glad that you did come out, take part and tick the exercise box.

Like all classes, morning classes are for everyone and all abilities.  We can get up, get organised, work out for an hour at 9.30am then ‘be done’, feel fantastic and get on with the rest of our day, woo hoo, it’s a great feeling.


So whatever class/es you attend, again, I want to thank YOU for your commitment and support – it wouldn’t be the same without you.

A reminder that the clocks go back an hour on the last Sunday of October at 2:00am –this Sunday 30 October so an extra hour on Sunday to relax, yessss.
