Complementary Fitness 12 July newsletter

First of all, apologies for having to cancel last Tuesday’s class because of all the rain.

We’d had such a lot of rain as you know and it would’ve been miserable.

Here’s another reminder that this week’s Wednesday & Friday morning classes start at 9am start on Wed 14 July, Fri 16 July then we’re ‘back to normal at 10am’.

That is until the week of Wed 11 Aug & Fri 13 August when again, it’s a 9am start – ah the school holidays & other groups wanting Adidas Court too.

Did you know that Pilates workouts promote strength and balanced muscle development as well as flexibility and increased the range of motion for the joints.

Both fitness Pilates & fitness yoga:

* Improve flexibility

* build strength

* increases muscle tone

* improves balance

* helps prevent back pain

* helps reduce stress

* supports joint health

* increases self confidence

 

Strength training or resistance training involves the performance of physical exercises which are designed to improve strength and endurance.  This type of training is often associated with the use of weights or resistance bands.

Strength training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-being, including increased bone, muscle, tendon and ligament strength and toughness, improved joint function, reduced potential for injury, increased bone density, increased metabolism, increased fitness and improved cardiac function.

So there are lots of physical and mental health benefits to exercise and I’m hoping that you’ll continue to enjoy these benefits with me in our classes.

I know that a lot of you are away this week but if you’re around and can make it, it’d be great to see you this week for more fitness, strength, flexibility, fun and sun in our outdoor classes at the Padel Court & Paties Rd Recreation Grounds.

When/if the weather’s not great for outdoor/outdoor Paties Rd Rec Grounds classes eg last Tuesday, then instead, I can record a Tue/Thurs class & send it to you.

I think the weather’s to be good this week so keep everything crossed that it is.

Classes £5 each & you can pay by bank transfer (I can give you my bank details), by card machine when you come to the class or cash.

A really short newsletter this week but nevertheless, I hope that you enjoyed reading it.
