Lots of reasons why MEN should do Fitness-Pilates!

 

1.        Fitness-Pilates is an extremely beneficial body and mind exercise technique for men.   Fitness-Pilates exercises, deep breathing & core control techniques help a man to establish and tone his abdominal, core and Pelvic Floor muscles which are especially important for male health which can include preventing prostate cancer.

2.        Firm abdominals are a major benefit of Fitness-Pilates as the exercises focus on the middle of the torso.   This is an area where most men carry fat and Fitness-Pilates can give a more streamlined and highly toned appearance.   (Think Diet-Coke break Man!).   Remember that toned & strengthened abs also significantly help with back pain and associated problems. 

3.        Many men suffer from very tight hamstrings, partly due to their form and partly from their history of lack of stretching after sport and in the gym.   Fitness-Pilates warms the body up with gentle stretching exercise before the hard work begins.   This therefore limits the possibilities of injury to the hamstrings and actually makes them more flexible and supple.

4.        Fitness-Pilates will improve any sport a man may participate in as it improves range of movement, posture & flexibility.   At present I have footballers, golfers, cricketers, squash and tennis players attend my Fitness-Pilates classes all noticing and seeing drastic results in their performance!

5.        Regular and sustained Fitness-Pilates will also improve mental focus and mind agility.   Top sports men and women around the world now regard Fitness-Pilates and Fitness-Yoga as central to their sports performance and fitness training.

6.        Fitness-Pilates is a brilliant posture corrector – essential for absolutely everything!

7.        Fitness-Pilates is a natural mind and body stress reliever and as Joseph Pilates himself quotes “Pilates will bring you body awareness after just six sessions.   In twelve sessions you will feel and see the difference and in twenty you will see a new body!”  And I totally agree with him!!
